i remember very well first day that news hit the airways in america immediately there was comments linking princess margret, queen elizabeths new husband salso michael x hakim….etc it was all out there in the first day..next day,,some little tidbits and day three there was never another mention on any news casts.. papers etc..like it never happened until this bank job and rightly so portrays what the gossip was on that day,,,,only reason the public doesn’t know more is the fact of queen mum still living….do you think there was a son born to mgaret
& townsend? now there’s DNA so it could be proven,,,,why not know ????
it only shows everone is basically the same royalty gardner whatever who cares??? but the movie certainly hit close
to the one day news blast we heard

The movie and a few other sources said the D-Notices will be released in 2054. (If they don’t extend that time frame.)

There seems no clues available as to what was in those boxes. I am not sure if the British government has some kind of time table on documents, like the Americans, so I can’t say honestly whether it will ever be revealed.
The robber in his interview with the Mirror reported some child porn in certain boxes, which the group left to be traced back to their respective owners. My guess is the wrong person had some kiddy porn but really who knows for certain.

The only real way to find out how much of this plausible ‘fiction’ is true, would be to ascertain why the original D notices (media suppression notices) were placed over the robbery immediately after it took place in the early 1970s..

These notices, by the UK government are supposed to be issued to protect matters of national security.

So what was it that was in those deposit boxes that threatened national security? Unfortunately the British state at the time was well known for protecting its own frequently sordid secrets – rather than acting for the good of the country.

A reporter should investigate those original D notices.

OK,,some liberties were taken,,,but it was a movie after all, right? The underlying theme could be one of “unintended consequences”,,which is what happened to all parties involved. Oh, and sticking by your “mates”!

They definitely took some liberties and strung together some unrelated events (such as connecting Michael X). I would not have believed this story if I had not found the article with the robber from the Mirror. It was interesting and entertaining to say the least.
