The industry failed the consumers who were confused by the debate. The consumers who are the industry's best customers were the ones who made a choice and invested in one technology or the other. Standards don't seem to work for DVD technology (or the historic betamax debate). Seems odd since HD TV change from analog to digitial is much more managed. This sucks….
